How to Verify a Game's RTP
The RTP printed on a game page is only as reliable as the source. Here is how to verify it yourself.
Where to find the official RTP
Every studio publishes RTP figures for its games. These are usually available in the game's information panel (the "i" button) when you play in free mode, or on the studio's official website in a game library section. Studios like Pragmatic Play, Evolution, and NetEnt maintain public game libraries with RTP data.
Third-party testing laboratories
Independent testing laboratories — eCOGRA, GLI (Gaming Laboratories International), BMM Testlabs, and iTech Labs — audit game RTP figures and certify that the published percentage matches the actual mathematical outcome. Their logo on a casino's website indicates they have assessed the games on that platform.
In-game RTP settings
Some studios offer operators multiple RTP settings for the same game. Pragmatic Play slots, for example, can sometimes be configured at 94%, 96%, or 96.5%. The casino chooses which setting to deploy. If you play a game at two different casinos and notice different RTPs in the information panel, this is why. Always check the RTP inside the specific game at the specific casino before playing.
Red flags
