Blackjack Basics
Decisions matter. Side bets are a different game.
The rules that matter
Classic blackjack on this listing assumes a 3:2 payout for a natural and decisions that follow basic strategy. That is how the RTP gets near 99.50%. A 6:5 natural, a restricted double, or a late surrender rule moves the number. Read the table rules before you sit.
Lightning Blackjack is not that game. Multipliers change the price. Use its own page.
Basic strategy
Basic strategy is a chart of hit, stand, double, and split for each hand against each dealer card. It does not win every round. It avoids the expensive mistakes: standing on a stiff hand the chart says to hit, or taking insurance.
Insurance is a side bet on the dealer’s ace. It is priced against you. Skip it unless you are counting, and you are not counting in a short live shoe.
Stake size
The min bet on a live blackjack table is often higher than a slot. One hand at a time, at a stake you can repeat, is the whole method. Raising after a loss does not change the edge.
If a bonus is active, blackjack may not count. Playing it anyway can void the bonus. Check before you deal.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I beat blackjack?
Not on these rules, over time, with basic strategy alone. You lose more slowly than on a slot.
Should I take even money?
Even money is insurance on a natural. Basic strategy declines it.
Does the dealer draw to 16?
Usually the dealer hits soft 17 or stands on all 17. The table sign says which. It changes the RTP slightly.
